Russia says holder of Sakhalin-2 operator to have LNG experience

MOSCOW, Sep 6 (PRIME) -- The potential buyer of a stake in Russia’s Sakhalin-2 liquefied natural gas (LNG) facility’s operator should have experience in running of an LNG plant with a capacity of over 4 million tonnes annually, as seen by PRIME in the government’s ruling released on the state portal for legal information late on Tuesday.

The buyer’s accumulated experience should amount to 40 million tonnes of such production.

The company also needs to have at least 10-year existing agreements with gas carriers with a capacity of at least 4 million cubic meters, and at least 5-year experience of international trade in the industry.
